Other PS5 projects

These names appear on the Emulation General Wiki PlayStation 5 emulators page, or in a public repository checked on 15 Oct 2026. A card here is not a recommendation. prosper is called out because that wiki page says not to use it.

Unofficial notes. No game files, BIOS, firmware, keys, ROMs, or mirrored builds. Download each project only from its official GitHub repository.

PlayStation 5 emulators on Emulation General Wiki

prosper

The Emulation General Wiki says prosper is almost completely AI generated and that it is highly not recommended. The compatibility rows on this site are copied from its COMPATIBILITY.md anyway, so the warning stays on every one of those rows.

GitHub repo mattias800/prosper, checked 15 Oct 2026: a user-space PS5 compatibility layer for Linux, Windows, and macOS. The API listed no license. The README says it ships no game files, keys, or Sony code. The wiki lists it as active, license N/A, and not recommended.

76 summary-table rows are in the ledger. The file’s own markers (checked milestone, in progress, early) are kept. Its “Last updated” line is 2026-10-12, and it says tests are primarily on Linux.

Prosperity

Prosperity already has a project page on this site. The wiki describes it as the project that launched as PS4Delta in 2019, for Linux and Android, with Windows planned. This ledger does not add Prosperity game rows, because the README checked on 15 Oct 2026 had no numbered compatibility table.

RPCSX

Repository RPCSX/rpcsx, GPL-2.0, last push seen on GitHub on 29 Jun 2026. No root README was in the repository that day. The wiki calls it an early FLOSS compatibility layer by DH with Nekotekina and kd-11, and says it can load PS5 Safe Mode and show the PS logo in VSH. No per-game rows were copied.

Ryty

Repository aarvsn/Ryty, GPL-2.0, 76 stars, pushed 11 Oct 2026. The README says it is a fork of AnyPS5 that ports PS4 and PS5 executables to Linux, Windows, and experimental macOS, with no separate emulator process. The wiki describes the same fork. No compatibility table was copied.

KytyPlus

Repository Coder787-source/KytyPlus, GPL-2.0, pushed 14 Oct 2026. The wiki calls it a standalone KytyPS5-based project focused on iGPU optimization, build stability, and a unified PS4/PS5 dispatch. Its COMPATIBILITY.md says the maintainer does not claim to have verified every row.

Only the seven Native (PS5) rows were copied. PS4 rows that the file says run through shadPS4 were left out. The table gives versions, not dates.

PS5PCEM

Repository iStark/PS5PCEM, GPL-3.0, pushed 14 Oct 2026. The README calls the Windows prototype experimental and points readers at the project’s own compatibility status. This site did not copy that list on 15 Oct 2026. The wiki lists it as active, GPLv3, and not recommended overall.

Kyty

InoriRus/Kyty is the ancestor, MIT licensed, last pushed 13 May 2024. The wiki marks it inactive and says it could boot some lightweight PS4 games and PS5 homebrew. It is not KytyPS5. No rows from that repository are in this ledger.
