PS5 emulators for PC, checked 15 Oct 2026
KytyPS5, SharpEmu, AnyPS5, and Prosperity as of 15 Oct 2026: official tags, GitHub counts, and what each project claims. No game files.
Four public projects are the ones this site will send you to. Counts below were read from the GitHub API or from the project's own site on 15 October 2026.
What changed since the October 10 press roundups
SharpEmu's compatibility page now says 9,215 games tracked and 97 tested: 42 playable, 19 in game, 5 menus, 18 boots, 13 nothing. That is a newer count than the "52 of 89" figure in the 10 October pcgaming.io article. KytyPS5's newest tag that day was KytyPS5-2026-10-13-9e41d83. AnyPS5 v0.1.2 is still the 14 October release, and the API showed 37,185 stars. Prosperity v0.0.1 is still the 3 October Linux package.
How to read those numbers
A playable row is a community report on that project's list, tied to a commit. It is not a promise for your GPU. KytyPS5's README shows screenshots of several retail names and points at kytyps5.github.io for the living list. This site did not recount that list.
AnyPS5 is still the odd one out. It relinks an executable. The ledger here still has one archived official playable row, Dreaming Sarah on Windows.
Where the files are
Use only the release pages linked from the project comparison. A site that adds a BIOS zip or a survey is covered on the scam page. This post does not link those domains.
Dated source trail
The figures above are a 15 October snapshot, not live counters. Check KytyPS5 releases, SharpEmu's own compatibility page, AnyPS5 v0.1.2, and Prosperity releases for later changes. The separate game ledger preserves the commit of each imported source table so a newer front page does not silently rewrite an older report.
